If you want to fly your drone in Thailand you have to register your drone at:
- THE CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF THAILAND
- Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission
and you need an insurance policy that covers damages caused to the body, life, and properties of third parties, and the minimum sum insured should be no less than one million baht per occurrence.
I got my insurance at FEIC (Thailand) Limited, for 1 year coverage i paid (2024) 1599 Baht
I recommend registering with CAAT first, as it can take up to four weeks. The good news is that you can complete the CAAT registration online before arriving in Thailand.
For the NBTC registration, you will need a picture of your entry stamp, which means it can only be done after you pass through immigration. However, you can create an account in advance and simply upload the entry stamp photo once you have arrived in Thailand.
